Chkdsk Utility


Question: Whenever i Start my System, Chkdsk is running on D Drive automatically, How to Avoid it..

Why Chkdsk is running automatically on every Boot.
When a volume's dirty bit is set, autochk automatically checks the volume for errors the next time the computer is restarted.

Process to be Taken....
1. Goto Cmd Prompt (Selecting Windows +r and type cmd and press enter)
2. Then type the following keyword without quotes "fsutil dirty query D:" (The D is the drive which isin Problem)
3. If the return message indicates that the volume is dirty go to step 4
4. Next type "chkdsk e: /f /x"
5. If u feel any difficulty to run the above command, Type the Following without quotes "fsutil volume dismount D:"
6. After that finshes repeat step 3.
7. If it is no longer dirty then reboot and you should notice no more chkdisk.
